I would gather Children

I took this from the blog of Amy...it's absolutely true. I'm so thankful for the natural love of children. I am asked all the time how I can do foster care, how can I take care of "other people's children", won't they affect my "own". This poem answers all that.

I WOULD GATHER CHILDREN

Some would gather money
Along the path of life;
Some would gather roses,
And rest from worldly strife.

But I would gather children
From among the thorns of sin;
I would seek a golden curl,
And a freckled, toothless grin.

For money cannot enter
In that land of endless day;
And roses that are gathered
Soon will wilt along the way.

But, oh, the laughing children,
As I cross the sunset sea,
And the gates swing wide to heaven -
I can take them in with me.

Hey, Kelly doesn't clench his fists, just his face. But he is working on it. Your life looks great and interesting and I hope things go well with the adoption and blessing. We won't be traveling that way in November. But thank you for the invite.
